I have been on the NMRA website and I have looked for a branch to Carmel, Indiana but couldn’t find anything so i decide that i would start my own model railroad organization, nothing that will compete with the NMRA. 1.) Do anyone have any idea how to apply to become a non profit organization.2.) If there is anyone who wanna join the organization, just say something that confirms you wanna join.
Great idea. Check the IRS website for non-profit status. You need to organize the club with a president, secretary, treasurer. And have one official meeting per year.
