Hornby Railways is the leading brand of model railway in the United Kingdom. Its roots date back to 1901, when founder Frank Hornby received a patent for his Meccano construction toy. The first clockwork train was produced in 1920. In 1938 Hornby launched its first OO gauge train.
I have been thinking about starting a model railway of a railway line in the United Kingdom area. Im thinking that Ill use Hornby trains and rolling stock. But, I do not like the couplers that stick out a lot under the train, and would like them to be more realistic. I have just bought the Hornby Flying Scotsman Set (R1072) which includes Track Packs A (R8221) and B (R8222) and one train controller (R965). I have also bought, in addition, Pack C(R8223).
